Open to the public and free to attend, this joyful event brings together families, educators, artists, and conservationists to raise awareness about the plight of monarch butterflies and other essential pollinators — and how native plants play a vital role in supporting them.

About the Bay Area Butterfly Festival
The Bay Area Butterfly Festival is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about monarch butterfly conservation, native plant restoration, and pollinator health. Hosted in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, the festival brings together environmental leaders, local makers, educators, and families for an inspiring day of connection, creativity, and action.

Garden Demos + Native Plants to help attendees learn about native plants and pollinator habitats, and help them go home with everything they need to get started

Kid-Friendly Activities like face painting, story time, interactive butterfly and pollinator-themed arts
Interactive Kids Entertainment like sing-alongs, magicians, clowns and children's music

Astrobotanicals Installation: Explore a magical inflatable “nature forest” that celebrates Earth’s biodiversity through art and light
